SK,

very important point. This blanket reference to all these companies as dirts disguises the fact that they vary greatly in the type of deposits they are dealing with and the approaches they are adopting.

S.K.: When I said they are all trying to crack the same code, what I was referring to is that they all are trying to unlock precious metals from complex ore. I am not a geologist or metallurgist so I have no idea as to whether the Johnson methodology would work on another dirt's ore, or whether an entirely different process is required.

I do think it is worthwhile to follow each of the companies, regardless of whether the "code" they are trying to "crack" is precisely the same.

I think there are lessons to be learned from each of the dirts, which helps you to better understand them all.

By the way, I just read your message to Richard regarding a spreadsheet comparing the attributes of the various dirts. Probably the biggest factor in my book in this regard is your opinion of the veracity of management. From this standpoint, I will never again put money into IPM (except possibly for a quick trade). Don't know enough about Naxos' management to comment.
