I do invest in tech stocks. (I had stock and options on AMD).

During that time I was very close to the folks at AMD and their development timeline.

I think CS exhibits all the same charactistics (Low stock price/down and out) as AMD (now is the time you buy when everyone hates the stock and you sell when people think this stock is the greatest thing since sliced bread).

I follow this company very closely (i.e, CS). They fell behind the technology curve (their shared media (ie., MMAC and MMAC plus hubs) are declining approx. 15% sequentially. Their switching revenue is growing very strongly. This company will come roaring back to the 40s once they gain a technological edge. (The Yago switch is the first step) (And do not underestimate the power of the researchers at DEC (soon to be CS researchers)). (Some say that you may see a terabit switch from these folks (instead in gigabit switch)).

CS will immediately slap their label on the YAGO box and start selling them immediately. The company will also port the product to the smartswitch 9000, and 6000 lines within a few months.

CS entering the "routing" market is filling a hugh void in their product line up. Don Reed has stated that alot of customers are "thrilled" with this addition. (Don also stated that certain customers are waiting to place large orders as a result of this purchase).

Do not bet against a (very financially strong) company backed into a corner.

Comments/Regards?

P.S. Once again do not be worried with the stock price the company is currently guiding estimates for the quarter "flat". Maybe some very upset shareholders are unloading. (Same thing happened with AMD when it went from 15 to 10 to 44). And Bay Networks.
