Then give the bar owners the necessary backup or police powers for enforcement. Under the current law, the bar owners cannot call in the police--or any other agency--and expect on-the-spot enforcement as they can in the case of underage patrons or inebriated people who should not drive or even be out in public.

Again, workplace safety is a myth when one considers that a good percentage of the people who tend bar also smoke tobacco and aren't really happy with this law.

If this badly written law is any example of the typical fare emanating from the lawyers in Sacramento--and I fear that it is--I am deeply concerned re future of California.
