Mccormick & Company Inc (MKC) still sells at a premium at 25 PE and my recent Buys in BGS was focused on their similar product potfolios but BGS trading at 1/2 the PE (PE=13).

I also heard the rumor on the ossible Kellog cookie purchase but suspect they will take the conservative approach especially w/ the planned CEO move.

MKC recently made a large acquisition so they are around and like you some of the healthier niche brands would yield higher margin. UNFI has several interesting health brands that go to Whole Foods. That is the AG theme I am investing in, healthy food brands from legacy companies that are reinventing their product portfolios and bank end logistic/inventory systems.

So far, UNFI & BGS have a lot of value in this area and could gain a lot of traction (similar to MKC growth) if they focus on the current strategy. Both UNFI & BGS should see PE expansion IMO.
