New CPU's being tested at Tom's Hardware site (back online, finally)

tomshardware.com

Another interesting thing is that several new CPUs turned up here, all waiting to get benchmarked. You will become introduced to one of them already tomorrow in the Socket 7 AGP board review. I suppose you guess which CPU that is. Another new CPU will have to wait until next week, because I am not allowed writing about it any earlier.

Apparently the CPU to be "unveiled" by Tom tomorrow (Tue 1/20/98) is a K6-266. I doubt that the one waiting until next week is the 333 MHz Intel Deschutes, because others (Anand, also tweakit.com) have already written about it. Therefore next week *might* reveal some info about the K6-3D.

Later, in the "news", Tom says that the Katmai, with its "KNI", is scheduled for release in 1H, '98, but this must be a typo.
