Re: AHT heavy selling at close. I looked at the charts for AHT and all the pref

Same fund filed a 13G exactly a year ago with 2 million more shares owned.

sec.gov

So they went from 6.x shares a year ago to 4.x shares now in that particular fund.

Re: AHT heavy selling at close. I looked at the charts for AHT and all the pref

Very strange month-end trades for a few of mine also:

AHT-F / down 7.00% on a combined 133,000 share trade close to and after hours.
AHT-D / down 3.09% on 27,000 share end of day trade.
SSW-G / down 3.71% on 11,344 share end of day trade.
GMLPP / down 3.66% on 74,000 share end of day trade.
IVR-C / down 2.04% on 159,000 share end of day trade.

No way to know who is making these trades.

13G filing was a notification of beneficial ownership filing for an institutional investor (Vanguard) (rule13d-1b).

A check with Vanguard reveals the reported shares are the exact holding in their REIT Index Fund as of 12/31/2018. Rebalancing is done quarterly, and the index is cap-weighted. So based on the huge share price decline in Q4, any trades by the fund would be a sell. Only their trading desk know how many and when they were executed.

Have some extra margin (still), so will run through my list tomorrow and try to pick up some of these if still down from the close.

From weak hands to strong hands.....
