wine is not a "blood thinner". It is felt to decrease the risk of heart disease by its ability to increase HDL the "good lipid". I believe that there has been another mechanism postulated but not on blood adhesiveness. Aspirin decreases the platelet adhesiveness. I would love to be able to take a daily aspirin but my stomach couldn't take it. I will continue with the daily wine though I should try the two together.
