Okay, I've now read all the way through this thread. It's great, very useful. What I'm dying to know is, why does Torray drop on and off your list? I've got about 20k in it and look at it as a very long term hold because of its investment philosophy -- very longterm, value, fundamentals oriented and ignore the vagaries of market fluctuation. How do you analyze a fund like that?

Alexander ; And ALL; Wish people would put in SYMBOLS to the
funds they are talking about, and some basic info..at least
a little, I cull front load funds..and don't even want to
look at them.
