Zakrosian.. there's no 35 mm digital that's currently the equivalent of film. While there are many advantages to digital imaging the raw information content of film is still well ahead. I would pick up a used Minolta at a shop like this ( nycv.com ), for a couple of hundred bucks. Scan in the really great images. In a few more years the pixel density might be comparable. Besides, film might last longer for those precious moments you want to preserve a while.
