Robbie....I'm hoping that CPQ puts out a super earnings report, but frankly, I'm a little more cautious/conservative than most of the people on this thread. It would not surprise me to see CPQ go back to the 52-54 pre-spit range again. It would also not surprise me to see CPQ at 100, pre-split, by next Christmas. I am a long-term investor and have great confidence in the company. I'll buy more if it dips to the low 50s again. I was out with blondie again last night and had a great time, but no reason to go out and rent a tuxedo.....I like my single lifestyle too well! Stephen

You didn't ask my opinion but here it comes:

Based on the intraday activity of CPQ for the past several days, the timing of your trades could not be worse.

Repeatedly, CPQ opened high or surged within the first several minutes of trading. Then it began a gradual descent throughout the day, only to make a half-hearted recovery in the closing minutes.

I believe this trend would only be exaggerated if the earnings report is as expected or slightly better. In particular, the opening trades would reflect the new information, only to succomb to the recent trading patterns. If you trade after the release of information, you would miss substantially all of the potential upside and expose yourself to a significant downside...

Or I'm nuts and just griping about getting burned on January 60 calls.
