Bob,

The PII is overpriced garbage.

It is not Intel's fault! Digital's Alpha was not designed to run 16-bit applications at all.

If you have to blame the lousy system performance caused by the poor memory speeds on PII, you have to blame Digital!

:)

An additional 2MB L3 cache would help PII run faster with real world applications. Without the 2MB l3 cache, PII is a crippled chip. The coming 2MB L2 cache running at full core speed would change the poor performance of PII on SLOT 1.

Bobby,
Re -- The PII is overpriced garbage.

But it runs at 400 Mhz.. The 6xCRAP doesn't even run at 180 Mhz..

Now what do you call garbage. NSM has paid good money for a DUD. NSM shareholders should file a class action suit because NSM did not reveal that Cyrix was really a DUD without any worthwhile products.
