Wrong.......the KKK was founded by six Confederate drinking buddies to harass blacks in the south....they were not originally affiliated with a political party although they were certainly Civil War time Democrats. They took their name from the Greek word "kuklos" which means circle.... Remember Lincoln emancipated the slaves and he was a Republican... But when the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was passed by LBJ and the dems, the transition to Republican began in earnest and remains that way today. So when you tell your story in the future you'll need more than a bumper sticker.
