With more energy driving the weather system the Arctic jet stream is moving further south each winter, so an increasing number of Americans will have to learn to live like Canadians and Alaskans.

People who live in Canada and Alaska all have electric thermal blankets they plug-in to keep their engine and battery warm, otherwise the car doesn't start in the morning because the oil is sludge and no juice for the starter.

In the far north of Alaska Chevron employees keep the diesel engines on heavy equipment running all night otherwise they can't keep the vehicles outdoors.
