That senate vote yesterday to force Trump to stay in the middle east killing fields blew me away. Even Cotton voted for it. What WAS that all about? Money? That's possible. Many members get re-election support from the defense industry. I think it might also be some experience in this area from being in office so long. They know how an enemy resurgence can backfire and actually cost more in lives and money. Iraq and Obama was a good example. They might be (indirectly) helping Trump's re-election with this.
