Stockman,
Pentium Pros cost too much to make because of the cache...but one thing I'd like to know is whether Intel could have increased the MHz of the Pentium Pro like they have with the Pentium II? Something tells me they couldn't have done it. What's your take?
Jim

Stockman,
There is a big difference. At the time the Pentium Pro was running at 200 Mhz the Pentium was only running at 200Mhz. Now thw PentiumMMX peaks at 233 and the Pentium II at 333. That's the key to any future success of the Pentium II...jack up the Mhz. AMD is having a hard time getting to 266. I'm curious as to what NSM will come out with.
