I have bought a considerable amount of gold stocks when the XAU was around 65. I trade them on an intermediate term basis using Technical Analysis. That's something you have to watch closely though as the market action is very fast. Definitely not for the faint of heart.
I'm also looking to bottom fish in Hong Kong in the next few months.
You are correct, my knowledge in other areas like gold and oil far excedes what I know about most tech stocks.
