... Diwan could have spiked the Cides with an anti-viral substance before sending it out to those 'credible' people.
An anti-viral substance like what? Round-Up? Silly Putty?

It's hard for me to take this baloney seriously. Nothing I've seen makes me think Diwan would think it was a good idea to cross a line like that. It doesn't make sense:
  • Why not steal the $90 Mn instead of spending years and millions doing research and enduring criticism? He's gotten some attention, but it's been mixed (positive and negative) at best.
  • And did Diwan get to the virologist from USAMRIID (U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases) as well? Did Brian agree to throw away his career for Diwan?
  • And the Boniuks, who did research for NNVC, and then invested in the neighborhood of $10 Mn? Why? Didn't do any homework on the drugs they tested?
The net necessary for such a conspiracy to be successful for so long is too wide to cast. This started with a certain degree of good intentions...and then appears to have gone south (in many dimensions).

Not that it matters to my wallet why it might fail or succeed...but I'd like to see it go in the right direction. (But my hope is waning.)
