Bob,

Just curious what you are paying $250 a month for. I am paying $20 a month for my internet access.

It's a two way service and fast fast fast.

Is it FTTC (fiber to the curb)? If so, I believe that only a small percentage of the population can get this service today, and most will not be able to get it for a few years.

The other big deal is the cost , there is no
per minute telephone charges. My charges went from $45 a month to $250 with
Ma Bell when I got on the net.

Can't you get a fixed-rate ISP with a local number to dial? I do this and get unlimited access for only $20 a month.
