It is pathetic that the American Electoral College has given the Republican Parties the two Republican Whitehouses.
Democrats truly hate the constitution

We need to get spending under control and have everyone pay less, the rich included. Grabbing more and more from people is unjust and produces negative results.

Out nations Debt to GDP is growing at unsustainable rate.

The debt problem is primarily a spending problem, and if entitlement spending growth isn't reigned in, not level of tax income as a percentage of GDP that the federal government has ever managed to sustain (at any top marginal income tax rate from 0 percent to 90 percent) will be enough to cover it.

Fiscal responsibility when facing a relatively locked in future increase in spending (entitlements could be reigned in but its very hard to do so, and any successes in that area will likely be modest, and right now neither party is even trying and we are running out of time) is more about spending control then tax increases. Partially because the negative longer term effects of high taxes, but even more so because if you use up the new tax income on new spending (like most of the Democrats propose to do), or even a significant portion of it on new spending while in the short run slightly decreasing the deficits (about the best that could be hoped from the Democrats*.) , then you use up the availability for future tax increases to be employed when the entitlements go from looming crisis to an active crisis.

* The Republicans are also bad here this isn't a partisan point, but your arguing for tax increases and we will only get those with the Democrats in power

based on the historical tax laws over the last 100 years

Better to look at what practices have been most successful here and there over time. That always leads to free or freer markets across the universe of wants and needs.

Republicans continue to govern only for the benefit of the rich and at the expense of all other social and economic classes

The poorest among us do best over time in -- guess what kind of circumstances. Taking assets from the rightful owners for bureaucrats to spend interferes with the processes that lead to general betterment.

You just can't conceive of the fact that's because our elected a-holes spend too much, can you?

Republicans have expanded the deficits

Yup, though so far nowhere near as bad as what Obama did, eh?

pathetic that the American Electoral College

You'd prefer that the citizens of all but the largest cities be deprived of any influence in he selection of a president?

You'd do well to learn why our Founders garner such respect and admiration among the informed.
