I am contemplating getting a dog as I have not had one for many years. I always put a lot of effort into training. I did puppy sit a few when friends went on vacation. One friend has a Shih-Tzu who was not too bright but extremely cute. She used to crate him when she went to work and he would run and hide when she was getting ready for work. After she returned from her vacation, he had taught him a few things such as sit and stay. I showed the owner and then said Tony go in your crate and he ran in there. My friend said "How did you do that?" I gave him treats in there.
