Dear Bob, I am very sorry that you were hurt. I only want to put things out so we can try to understand what people are saying to stop the enemy from confusion on this thread. As I have sat back and looked at the posts we are basically agreeing on the real important things and the disagreements I believe are satan making things appear different than they are intended. I felt that from you when you said we are misunderstanding you. So I said we probably are and said I need to stop and listen to get past this. Alan and I believe that the Lord and Paul were never known to walk away from controversy and they were our example can you imagine what it was like when the Lord overthrough the money changers at the Temple or pronounced the woes to the leaders, and what about Paul at the Synagogues do you think it was pleasant conversations? The main verse for us is Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good. So even if it sounds real nasty we are in the ring for what we understand to be good. Fighting for loving people and staying out of the eternal destination of anyone but leaving that to God who is in perfect control of it. The Lord says for us to feed the hungry, cloth the naked, and give living water to the thirsty. That is the introduction to the Gospel to me. In all cases that I stuck to this the people became believers quite easily and the times the fear of hell are used people harden their hearts and it was unsuccessfull. It really takes the leading of the Holy Spirit like it says by all means win some. I am also sorry about your congregation it sounds painfull. We too have had some really bad situations with congregations that after many years were resolved, so there is always hope just in His timetable.May the Lord bless you today, Nancy
