There are huge differences between dog food and dog food. The ingredients are easy enough to evaluate by either actually reading the package or using the internet. My wife made a “hobby” of digging into this and interestingly enough, the gold plated dog food often promoted by vets are a complete rip-off. She came to the conclusion that something like Costco’s Kirkland brand offers better nutrition than most of the brands selling at double + the price.
