This is getting a little out of perspective here.
MTI released a C&L study. Nothing more. If C&L wants to re-evaluate then fine but MTI has nothing to do with that. C&L put their name on the study and it seems it is their issue. In my opinion, this has no effect on the stock or the company. Talk to others who have benchmarked these products and especially the cost per solution.

For sure, Mark. And it will be most interesting to see the new "information" and just who the "reliable sources" are. But the best trick will be how C&L says "whoops, we work for EMC and by coincidence we were wrong, they have the better product after all". Regarding the attorneys, I'm sure they're already on board. This is a real knee-slapper.

My opinion is that none of it matters anyway. The damage is done and each product has strengths and weaknesses related to cost. The success of their respective sales forces in the field will eventually tell all. The old bottom line.
