Of course, he WANTED a hotel deal. And he thought it was gonna be a big beautiful hotel. The tallest in Eurasia. You're ignoring that he's a lousy dealmaker, maybe the worst in the world .... example: he turned down $25 billion for his wall and now is getting a little over a billion for 55 miles of more fence.

And of course, there's the fact that Putin likely didn't want to deal with a traitorous loser like Trump.
