I think it's probably just coincidence. The PR from Ashton has been generally expected for about a week to appear today. For ligament reasons the start up of drilling with Montello was delayed a few days. I think it is very hard for Ashton or any of the others to sit on news and details for more than a few days because of the rumour mill (to say nothing about the rules).
It will be interesting to see the rest of the results from K6 and my guess is that is what the market will be focusing on with Ashton over the next month.
In my opinion, I don't think what Montello does really has much of an effect on Ashton. They are here for the long haul regardless of what the neighbouring juniors do or don't do.
I think we can expect all the related stocks to bounce back after the short term traders (who were dumping this morning) and profit takers get back into the play.
It will be interesting to see how Kaiser views the Ashton release tomorrow. Positive I bet.

Best of luck to us all,
Wayne

I agree Rob, it is very funny that both make an announcement well before the market opens(aca have never done this). I think the company
competetion is excellent for this play. I think by Friday MEO will announce kimberlite!!!
