Good stuff - but as you point out that is the Republic of California. PG&E certainly has their own long haul from Shasta, Orville and other large plants. Those monstrous towers must go - they were expedient in their time but represent infrastructure targets. Want to limit the over all risk? - the last several major fires were caused by high winds and power lines. I heard that people shooting transformers is also a growing problem. Happened down in San Jose - multiple shooters - they never figured out the "who" of that that I know of.
