I hope so. But if you can notice one thing, the Repugs stick together no matter what the quality their candidate shows. Those who voted for Trump and supported him thus far, they won't change their minds. Sadly. They voted and supported their guy who - grabbed female genitals and openly bragged about it - Tax cut to the super riches, hurting the middle class and setting off runaway income/wealth inequality - National thrust on Wall, Coal mine, Soybeans, ... which replaced the historical national thrust on Innovation, research and development, high tech, entrepreneurship, funding for pure and applied science research with budget increases at NSF, DOE, NIH, ... and support for research and training at higher education. Trump wants to spend $5.7 Billion (just the first installment) on Wall. He has no idea or interest in the importance of R&D and education. The Wall will create ZERO investment return. Trump deemphasized higher education and R&D. The cut in budgets in research labs and universities will permanently cripple USA. The investment in R&D and innovation drove the US economy thus far. Trump shifted it to wall construction, subsidy to Soybean farmers, make Coal miners great again.
