No lawyer you
or
The Law

The law is pretty clear and no amount of parsing can change that. You simply cannot decide which members of the public you will serve. This is categorically false - "But there isn't anything contradictory in being generally open to the public but not willing to sever every segment of the public." You cannot put up a sign that says "No dogs or Chinese" (seen in a Bruce Lee film) even if you hide it behind the counter, you cannot keep it in the back room to use when the deplorables you hate show up.

Nine year old children just need to be asked if they want to labour away all day and if they do, tally ho, let's go? Is that the official position of your group or did you just decide that is how things should be?
Child labour laws go back much further than Libertarian principles and in fact the liberty of children to be children has been protected by law for a long time. You don't find enslaved nine year old's and ask them if they are OK with being enslaved. When they are legally able to work and free from the pernicious influence of lazy dead-beat mothers who want to eat the bons-bons without doing any of the work then you can ask them. I am surprised that she was surprised that the police showed up to her ad on Craigslist advertsing child labour. Your suggestion that the 9 year old asked her mother to place the ad underscores for me that you have no children and know no nine year olds. International law is clear and US law is even clearer, logic gives us a clear view of moral structures. There are 186 member countries in the ILO and they have all agreed to the following laws -- The first convention listed is the Minimum Age Convention, 1973. This convention states that a person under 18 cannot work in a facility that may jeopardize their safety, health, or morals. This work includes mining, operation of heavy machinery, and heavy manual labor. Children ages 13 to15 may perform light work as long as the work does not bring any harm or hinder their education. Children under 13 are restricted from working.

Sequiturs
or
Her idea

Actually I believe you said as long as no evidence was presented that..
<<the child was unhappy with the idea >> you saw no problem. The child was nine years old.
Hear that abusive parents, if you can scare the little ones it is all OK.
As long as when they are asked they say they are not unhappy, rent them out.

You have a very short memory, perhaps it is the milquetoast diet?
Do you still aver that nine year olds not expressing unhappiness can be rented out on Craigslist?
Just to make it harder, it wasn't a lemonade stand in the front yard under parental supervision.
It was a mother renting out her nine year old on Craigslist, that is you approving of that isn't it?
Do you realize the word sequitur contains the letters S and I in order.
