Aventail would be stupid not to use HAAPI. If they write HAAPI compliance into their software by using NRI middleware, they would be immediately available to all biometric algorithms which are HAAPI compliant (There are already a few algorithms soon to be available). They wouldn't have to partner with every biometric algorithm company out there and wait for them to write product compliant software.

Bob,
Appears to be a non-public corp. Just because they say they have product does not mean it is totally operational. $8K seems pricey, but we don;t know how much of the product is needed. They seem to be doing the same thing that NRI and the other bioms are trying to do with the HA-API. However, they seem to be working on a larger scale, all security systems, not just biometrics.
It does point out the rapid growth in this area. NRI must get moving or it will be left behind. However, It is not necessary to wait for Aventail's total system to set up HAAPI.
It would be good to here from technical types on this.
Regards,
Sheldon
