Divx should not impact ZRAN's ability to sell chips to DVD player manufacturers. Divx merely adds a layer of security over the top of an ordinary DVD player that uses ZRAN or competitor's chips for DVD decoding. Divx may, however, be impacting overall sales of DVD players by injecting uncertainty into the marketplace.
