I 'can' count on some rules of the game, them being ... generically (1) some choosing are time sensitive, and if not made, is in any case made - i.e. Huawei 5G for Germany (2) some choices are asymmetric, i.e. team USA uses only a bit of huawei and a decision to ban is meaningless, whereas for other states more a matter of have vs have-not (3) some choices might be right in the short term and very wrong over a decade, Japan banning Huawei today involves little pain (assuming outright societal as opposed government sector ban) by may bite and hard 10 years later (4) other choices might hurt today and hurt more tomorrow, i.e. Australia banning Huawei today involves pain, to Australia, and more pain later, relative to Indonesia etc etc (5) win or lose, nations are tee-ed up to choose, old world order, that which is crumbling, or free trade, that they know is the sustainable future ... (6) I 'can' observe ...
