Mike, indeed I did see the analyst's recommendation. I noticed it because it was made by David Bissett, one of the top small-cap fund managers and the context was the Globe and Mail's annual "My One And Only" challenge in which top stock pickers pick their favourite for the year. He indicated that TSN's main growth area is in its powdered metal technology whose application include cylinder linings that reduce pollution from small engines. Would you (or anyone else) know what powdered metal is? At any rate I downloaded their annual report from SEDAR and really liked what I saw. This seems to be a solid turnaround and value play and with David Bissett's reputation on the line, I decided to pick some up on Monday at $4.75. Lookin' surprisingly good so far! Perhaps some of those who jumped out due to the share consolidation are coming back.
