It is a wonderful way to go places one might never get a chance to see, with multiple stops in far away places. Over the years I've become a bit of a germaphobe...............not to any great extent......but I'm just more aware and cautious, and this last cruise really took a toll on my health. Not to mention over 1/2 the people on board were seriously obese. I think they only go on these cruises to eat as much food as they possibly can. Most of them can't walk more than a few yards and many of them were using scooters. I don't let that interfere with the time I spend on board, but it's kind of depressing to see so many unhealthy people at one time at one place.
