Regarding multiple monitors. I think that is the claim to fame of Appian. And windows '98 does support multiple monitors on one machine, I hear. Appian link: appiantech.com I'm looking into getting a level 2 system. Thanks everybody, for the comments. I especially like to trade bad news stocks. I like to look at the SEC filings, and then jump in. Up to now I have had to take week/month long positions, but with the market acting weird, it might be time to switch to day trading. For this, I need a better quote system, and as long as I am going to do it 7 hours a day, it has to be level 2. I plan on watching for a week, only making plays I would have anyway, then paper-trading on the new ideas. Seems like discipline is the thing. (And lots of luck.) -- Carl p.s. I agree on BBs. Stay away, especially if you have a tip from a friend. Same goes for thinly traded stocks, (my last exception was a positive experience with MRIA. Its a trip to be responsible for all the volume in a stock for a day.) Same goes for stocks with big spreads relative to share price and volatility. In other words, a 1/4 spread on a $5 stock with low volatility is death. On a high volatility $100 stock it is cheap.

to all: (laptop prices) could anyone lurking tell me what price range will the new Pentium II 233 mhz notebooks be? i heard they will be coming out in Spring of this year.. I'm contemplating whether i should get a Pentium w/ MMX instead.. $3000 - $3500 notebook is my budget. can someone help me ? TIA Chris
