Austin Wednesday, Dec 10 1997 8:53PM EST Reply # of 1606 Hi Bradley, The following note is from C L. __________________________________________________ I have a big position in the stock and have a small order in for some more at 47 cents. We are in a very bad situation temporarily due to gold prices, changes in investor reception of metals stocks etc. The recent uncertainty about IPM is adding to MG's woes. No telling where we are going short term. Long term, I'm very bullish, I guess you have to decide how long you are in for. When Ron Starr and I visited the crater property in May of this year, I collected some good sized surface samples from atop the hill(mt.) I purposely picked the darker colored ones (toward purple from red) as Mike A. assured me that their metal content was higher. The samples laid out behind my garage until late October. I broke off 4 thumb sized pieces and sent them to a lab I use in NV. The assayer does business in NV but is AZ registered. He uses the following procedure: Dry and pulverize to 100% -200 mesh. Weigh prepared sample into 250 ml class A vol. flask, add 25 mls of concentrated nitric acid, mix and digest near 100 degrees C. for about 15 minutes or until cesation of reaction. Remove from heat, cool down, then add 80-100 mls of conc. HCL. Back on heat source and digest at a simmer for 18-24 hours. Remove from heat source , cool, add 10-15 mls conc. HCL and dilute to 250 ml (vol) with distilled water and mix. Filter a portion and analyze for Au using only hi-resolution D C P at desired wavelengths. I have his report in front of me. He says the sample contains .74 O/Ton/AU. Kindly remember this is not a company test, I took the sample and paid to have it analyzed. There's little doubt in my mind that it is the largest Au deposit in AZ. I'll sit on the stock until the company develops the property. That's my opinion and it hasn't changed a lick since I started this thread. Mike tells me that he is expecting the rest of the fire assay results before long. Best bet is to keep in touch with him at 602-414-4488 - MG's office. Merry Xmas. to you all C L
