Yes, I agree. Too many seek some kind of solace or advantage by claiming some particular subset. Race is a big business. Where would Rev Al be without it.

We'd be a whole lot better off if we would recognize just one race.....the human race. Seriously.
Racial diversity is fine. It's what leads to so many rich cultures in the world.

But it's the exploitation of racial divisions that really triggers me.

If you say something that offends me as a Korean, but you had no idea that it would offend me and you didn't mean to offend me, I'm not going to scream bloody murder. To do otherwise would be to exploit our differences in background just to make myself look like a "victim."

And in our "up is down" society, we give way too much significance to "victims." That's why Jussie Smollett did what he did. He feared becoming insignificant.
