Incidental to your post, on Friday 7153 contracts traded on Oracle Jan 2000 $50 strike price leap calls, very unusual for a stock trading under $20. In fact, it was the 12th most activly traded options contract. This suggests that someone probably bought 7000 leap contracts at a strike over 250% above the current stock price, a vote of confidence to say the least.
