They could drill some wells, prove what in the ground more than is known now, and sell 1/2 or more of their stake for a pretty fair price. They then retain a portion. This is what Triton did in Columbia.

Taxikid, Don't want to disrupt the peace on the thread so I'll try to answer your questions as best I can. While welcoming others who may have other ideas\answers to step in.

1}kaz will let them take the oil out of the ground{since many believe they are corrupt}

Not just Kasakstan, but that's possibly true for many developing countries as well. But, bare in mind that for every corrupt individual there are also some good and decent ones. Crooks cannot continuously rule and hide in democracies. The fact that many international companies are doing or wanting to do business in area is a good sign.

2}that there is oil there and it will be easy to extract?

Yes, based on the available information and research done on the site, like many investors who are risking their their hard-earned money on the stock, I strongly believed there is oil . Who said it will be easy to extract it? But, chances are if proof of great quantity of oil reserve is in the ground a decent JV will be found to drill the oil and build the transport facilities it deserves.

3} that aipn will be abkle to raise cash to do more research~ and tap wells and set up shop in kaz?

Again with a abundant quantity of oil in the ground enough cash should flow as needed though they may decide to abandon the site for cash.

4} that nayone who controls any portion of the pipeline would want to freely give up such use so that aipn's oil {if in fact there ever is any} can be brought to market and thus increase supply and cut down on demand for the pipeline owner's products?

I tend to believe that MSUP\AIPC or a Major JV partner will struct a fair deal with the pipeline owner(s) that will be equitable for both sides. Businessmen won't built pipelines for others to use for free.
Also, don't completely discount the possibility that owners of the pipeline could also become JV themselves. Who knows?

"<<and what makes you think that any of this stuff will ever get doen on the shoestring budget and financing aipn has..>>"

FAITH.....after doing my DD and weighing the risk\reward factor.

"<<the best thing aipn can do is sell the license upon proving that there is in fact recoverable oil in any large quantity.. and use the millions for exploration elsewhere.. and maybe just maybe get a % of
the action out of the concession.>>"

Agree completely. Anyway, like many others I'll be very surprised if AIPC didn't do it this way.

regards,
sycamore
