TA : Thanks for reviewing my response. Please provide your reference sources . Quite frankly, it is difficult to believe someone who does not know the difference between a specific PDE-V inhibitor and a specific PDE-III inhibitor. Next thing you know , you will be comparing the pharmacokinetics of Viagra to the SSRI Redux. ...Oops, you already have.

TA: <<Next, we, ( you a me, Zebra Cacaito MissLil ?), are going to have to correct line by line Big K's post. I'll start with 1st paragraph:
<<Although it accounts for only 2% of the total weight of the body, the brain receives the largest proportion of cardiac output (16-20% of the body's blood).>>Correction #1: largest amount of cardiac output goes to the kidney, 25%; brain only gets 15%>>

TA: Dueling blood flows and cardiac output! I guess the answer really lies in which reference source you choose to use. Here's a vote for the liver:

Review of Medical Physiology, 17th Ed., Ganong; Appleton and Lange, 1995:

Table 32 labeled : Resting Blood Flow and O2 Consumption of Various Organs in a 63 kg Adult Male with a Mean Arterial Blood Pressure of 90 mm Hg [the following represents one column from table]:

.........................% of Total Cardiac Output
Liver:...................27.8%
Kidney:................23.3
Skeletal Muscle:..15.6
Brain:.................. 13.9
Skin:................... 8.6
Heart Muscle:...... 4.7
Rest of body:...... 6.2

All my best!!
