Latin American stocks seen up on Asia recovery

MEXICO CITY, Jan 19 (Reuters) - Latin American stocks markets seem poised for a profitable week as long as their Asian counterparts maintain solid footing, analysts from throughout the region said.

Latin stocks were shaken last week from the latest bout of Asian flu, but last week's slump could be this week's buying opportunity, they said.

Asia crisis shows Brazil fin system sound-official

BRASILIA, Jan 19 (Reuters) - Brazil needs to continue restructuring its financial sector, but the recent crisis in Asia shows that three years of reforms have made the system stronger, a senior Finance Ministry official said.
