It's the same everywhere, sadly. The good news is I really think Trump has an opportunity to win a second term handily. The successes keep building, he does not fear defeat (e.g., the Emergency Declaration), and just about everything he's doing turns out good. Scott Adams, who I like, but don't have time for, mentioned yesterday what looks like a key truth: While Trump may not succeed in denuclearizing NK, he will have won the truly important battle, which is normalize relations with NK. He properly sized up the problem which was that Kim just wants some respect, and by giving him that the need for denuclearization can be mitigated. He becomes no more dangerous than France. Historically, this will be seen as a pretty major victory all the way around. If he gets a second term perhaps more can be done. China struck a deal last week for 10M Metric Tons of Soybean, which isn't chickenfeed, and it is likely we will see some broader deal struck shortly. Mueller apparently has nothing, and while the attack dogs at SDNY go after him, and will find some trivial bullshit (big target, they can't miss) getting him charged before the statute tolls is another kind of problem if he wins a second term. So, they'll hassle him. IN THE MEANTIME, he has quit doing the things that drive the polls down. He's being presidential. And that is all he really has to do to win re-election. I don't usually get in the presidential race prediction business and it is early, but he has a really good chance of a big win.
