This issue has come up several times in recent years and many fair minded folks thought it would remain a free posting zone without a moderator. However each time we have neglected to elect a moderator we have become deluged with zero content bots who accuse everyone of working with Russians and other insane accusations. Far too many people monopolize the thread with repetitive posts laced with vulgarity and immature , school yard nonsense. I vote we elect a mature and fair minded poster to moderate the thread. That would at least eliminate the need to take a shower after posting among such delinquents. I believe mindmeld fits the bill for moderator, although he would have his work cut out for him. SI management would certainly appreciate the break.
