Poor Ramsey, he'll be buying tires, film, wireless phones and MSFT software in his sleep from all the subliminal advertising.

You didn't buy any last week?? Tsk, tsk. Don't they report in the morning??

<<at the rate that QCOM is milking superbowl week for publicity, I may be forced to buy some calls tomorrow. Really find it hard to believe that they will not do everything legal to make the numbers look fantastic tomorrow>>

That's an interesting theory; very thought provoking. It doesn't seem likely that Q would bomb the earnings at the zenith of their moment in the public eye, does it. All those potential investors seeking more info on the company; first data examined being just released earnings. Very interesting theory; hmmm. Now if the G* launch could have been scheduled for halftime ... .

"One thing's for certain; we'll all find out!" ; )

Ramsey - Remember the Hindenburg. Maybe those blimps will go away and you can count sheep instead. Oh no - the sheep syndrome and day before earnings - this seems like deja vu all over again.
More seriously - just wondering what options you were going to buy? It does seem, at least according to Lehman that earnings growth could be much slower for the next quarter or two i.e. staying in the fifties. Then there is also this perplexing issue about shifting the accrual system for royalties to report currently rather than one quarter back. Buying Jan 99 40's? Shorter term? Tom

I am always a bit spooked when a company floods the market with good news before an earnings announcement. Perhaps it is just coincidental.
