1896 LOL.. Were it not for Crimea Alaska would be where it belonged.. part of Canada :)) Likely Washington and Oregon state also.. All part of the Oregon territory along with BC Brits are not that bright :( See Lake of the Woods boundary fiasco.. I think the Brits thought Beaver hats would last forever ..
