I think at this time, holding to the sidelines is a good bet on ALTR. Bottom fish plays are good for those who can sit and watch the market minute by minute. Many people try to guess the bottom and come out on the loosing end. Does Ascend ring a bell?
Cisco looks great. I guess I shouldn't talk about them on this thread. Oh, what the heck...
Cisco has good support at 52, daily/weekly momentum is positive and has given no recent sell signals. Most importantly with the computer sector falling these recent months, Cisco has held its relative strength very well. Last year when the sector reversed up Cisco climbed with it. I expect to see a large jump in the stock price once the sector settles and reverses up. Unless they miss their numbers horribly....yeah, right. I'd do calls, deep in the money, if we could get a slight pull back. But with expectations of earnings, I don't think that will happen.
