Should have, but I don't see any efforts bearing fruit. The social media giants are de facto monopolies and largely unregulated. The FTC is derelict in its duties. While the liberals are misdiagnosing why we have an accelerating gap between rich and poor, I can tell you exactly why. We have allowed monopolies to flourish unchecked and they have captured the government bodies that normally regulate them. That's called corruption. We need some good old fashioned trust busting in this country to re-establish competition and we need deregulation for small businesses to keep the barriers to entry low and protect the most innovative segment of our capitalist engine. Lastly, we need to abolish the Fed, which acts as the central communist planner from which cronies skim the fat off the American public and enrich themselves.
