Chris Christie: Trump Surrounds Himself With “Grifters” And “Felons” by JakeThomas Chris Christie wrote in his new book that President Trump's associates are "amateurs" and "unconvicted felons." In his book, “Let Me Finish: Trump, the Kushners, Bannon, New Jersey, and the Power of In-Your-Face Politics,” the former New Jersey Gov. calls Trump’s associates, “amateurs” and “unconvicted felons.” According to The Hill, Christie writes that Trump is surrounded by a "revolving door of deeply flawed individuals — amateurs, grifters, weaklings, convicted and unconvicted felons." Christie writes that people were "hustled into jobs they were never suited for, sometimes seemingly without so much as a background check via Google or Wikipedia." Christie supported Trump during the 2016 presidential race but eventually fell out of favor with people on the president’s team. He specifically accuses Jared Kushner of carrying out a “hit job” against him in his book. He theorizes that Kushner was taking revenge because Christie had prosecuted Kushner’s father in 2005. Kushner’s father was charged with tax evasion and witness tampering. He plead guilty and served 14 months in federal prison.
