The reason why not is that if you let corporations vote with their dollars, then the concept of one person one vote is destroyed. Almost no one can compete with corporations on dollars. They can basically buy our government and since Citizens United, that is precisely how dark PAC money has operated. It is another reason why the rich poor divide is so drastic now. Democracies die this way. We are a very strange combination of Fascism and Socialism now. Both are corrupt systems that the United States fought against in WWII. We need to understand history to correct our mistakes now and get back to Democracy and Capitalism.
