I agree but if you just look back anytime the government gets involved the prices skyrocket. Look at the cost of education. The government allowed these loans to people who were taking degrees that had no real life value and continued to waste that available money and the colleges took advantage by jacking up the prices. Isn't the real question why do we need so much health care? Let's solve that problem.

Some of those countries rely heavily on fuel tax and some countries use their oil revenue to finance health care. I lived in the UK for 2 years. We were paying $10 a gallon for gas. That was their way to finance health care. We can not privatize oil to pay for it here and if we really thought that the government would use those funds just for healthcare I do not trust the government. The funds would be diverted as they are now.
