Barry, Those are good reasons why I don't really feel the need to be too critical of what the analysts say or even pay it that much attention. Dean Witter and the rest are interested in generating trades so it is good for them to have their analysts upgrade and downgrade rather than just say "buy these 12 diversified stocks and/or VTSMX, go play golf and come out ahead". All in all, it is better for those that understand it all (vested reporting and forecasts) as it is more opportunity to profit! 8) regards Kirk out More discussions at suite101.com
